Welcome to the Study of Parliament Group Home Page

We are the Study of Parliament Group of the United Kingdom. For groups in other countries, see Links.

The Group was founded in 1964. It exists to study the working of Parliament and Parliamentary institutions, and other related aspects of Parliamentary government and political science, and to advance public knowledge of these subjects. The Group has about 150 members, most of whom are either academics with an interest in the Group's work or Parliamentary officials.

For further details of the Group, see Details.

Although the Group is private, much of its work has been published. See Books, Articles and Evidence to Committees.
