In addition to the contents of this site, the search facility covers oral and
written evidence given by the Group since 1997 (this is on the Parliamentary website and is
linked from the evidence page). The search does
not include the text of research papers listed on the links page.
The post-1997 evidence also appears on the site map and the What's New page.
Searching hints
- If you type more than one word, the search finds pages containing all of them.
- If there are no such pages, the search says so and finds pages containing any of them.
- Alternatively, you can put + before any word to be included and - before any word to be excluded
(no space between the + or - and the word) (example: +this -that)
- A word ending in * will match any word beginning with the same letters (example: Parliament* matches Parliament, Parliaments, parliamentary)
- A word containing ? will match a word with any one character at that position in the word (example: b?g matches bag, beg, big etc. but not bang)
- Words within "quotation marks" will match the exact phrase
- Words within [] will match words within a couple of words of each other
- Words within {} will match words within several words of each other
- Words separated by AND, OR or NOT (in capitals) will perform a Boolean search
